22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, Cycle A
August 31, 2014

Heavenly Father we thank you for revealing your son Jesus to us and through him, your fathership to us.  With a child's confidence, we place our heart's petitions in your hands.

For our Pope that His message of Peace & concern for the poor fills the world

For leadership in this country, that their policies allow people to live, grow and pray in freedom allowing mutual respect and understanding.

For those who are sick physically, emotionally or spiritually, the your healing touch will give courage to them, and if it be your will, restore them

For those returning to school this week, that the Lord provide a nurturing environment free from violence and filled with mutual respect

For those suffering violence in our country and around the world.
May we always have the courage to reflect the Peace that Jesus offers in our families, towns, and countries

For those whose lives have been touched by death, that the Lord provide his consolation and presence, and that our love for the ones who have left us continue to shine the love of our Father through our lives.

We offer our prayers through your son, Jesus the Christ .  Hear the prayers of your children and grant them through your love.

Please pray (let's storm heaven) for a miracle for Father Bob Crofut.  Father Bob (who is the Associate at St. Pius X Parish in Fairfield) has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing chemo treatments.  The tumor is too big to operate and they are attempting to shrink it through the treatments.  Let's pray for no side effects from his treatments and that he have peace of mind and heart as he undergoes his medical challenges.  We place him in the loving hearts of Jesus' and Mary and surround him with angels in human and spirit form.  Thank you.
God Bless!
 PAX - Pat Heile, OFS

Please pray for Steven Fitzpatrick, a resident at St. Joseph's Manor in Trumbull.  Steven has had MS for 30 years and underwent a new medical procedure this week for his MS.  Let's pray that this procedure was successful.
Please pray for Lorel Kelly who fell and injured her back and ankle.  Let's pray for a good test result for her MRI and healing of her injuries.
Let's pray for peace of mind and heart for both Steven and Lorel and their families as they undergo these medical challenges.  Thank you.
God Bless!
PAX - Pat

Dear Friends,
Please pray for my dad - AGAIN - he was rushed to Greenwich Hospital.  The Doctor thinks his left knee replacement hardware is infected. Dad is on an antibiotic drip right now as we speak.
They are waiting for Dr. K to get out of surgery to determine what the next step will be.

Heavenly Father, you willed your love and mercy to be shown to the whole world, Hear our prayers we bring before you today

We pray for our pope, our bishop and all our clergy that they share in  your desire to draw all to yourself.

We pray for our government officials  that their laws and policies will preserve and promote human dignity

We pray for peace in our world for those who suffer war in the Ukraine, the Holy Land and all troubled areas in our country.

Look with mercy on all those among us who are suffering, particularly the sick, the poor and those who lack dignified employment.

Gather those who have died into your loving arms and bring them new life.  Grant consolation and peace to those who love them here on earth.

Provide strength, wisdom, grace and joy to our priests, let them be reminders of your love in our world, and that our young people may see and follow their example into holy vocations

Heavenly Father, Hear our pryersas e offer them through Jesus your son.

8/3 Intentions: 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Father, you provided for the 5,000 who came to hear your son.  With confidence we lift our prayers to you
Let us pray

That The Lord continue to use Pope Francis , Bishop Caggiano, and our church leaders to feed us with his word and help us to make that word reality in the world

That our elected officials may continue to reflect Gods love for us and our love for each other in the laws they uphold and create.

That  the victims of war, especially in the middle East may experience the peace of Christ soon

That those who are suffering economically be open to daily miracles that show the provision of the Lord

That the Lord make his presence known to all the physically, emotionally and spiritually sick and provide consolation and healing,

That the Lord draw those travelling on vacation into a time of renewal and refreshment and provide  rest

That our families may be a a place to both experience and share Gods kingdom

For those who have died and their loved ones, that they may experience the love of God in his presence.

We present our needs to you, fulfill them in and through your Son Jesus.

Please pray for us...

People ask us to pray, and so in faith, we lift our prayers to the Father:
